The JP university established in 1990. This university is inaugurated by the Chief minister of Bihar Sri Lalu Pradas Yadav. JP university is the member of the Association of Indian Universities. The university names come after the honorable freedom fighter Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan. All the degree courses are affiliated by the University grant Commission.
